What drives LED wall pricing
We quote every wall from the room, the content and the schedule rather than a rate card. These are the factors that move the number most.
Wall size and pixel pitch
Cost scales with panel count. A tighter pitch puts more panels — and more processing — into the same square footage, so close viewing distances cost more than a wide stage backdrop.
Indoor vs. outdoor
Outdoor calls for weather-rated, high-brightness panels, heavier ballast or rigging, and power distribution with backup, all of which add to the line item.
Rigging and support structure
Flown walls need truss, motors and a rigging plot approved by the venue. Ground support is usually less, but still needs goal posts and ballast.
Labor and show length
Crew size, load-in windows, overnight installs, union venues and multi-day shows all shift labor hours more than gear does.
Content and operators
Playback operators, camera packages, switching and content resizing to native wall resolution can be added or handled by your team.

- Size the wall to the room and the back row: a common rule is one foot of screen height for every 8 feet of viewing distance. Abstract Productions typically specs a 10'x6' wall for breakouts of up to 150 people, 16'x9' for ballroom general sessions, and 20'x11' or wider for audiences over 1,000.
- What pixel pitch and refresh rate should an event LED wall have?
- Pixel pitch should tighten as viewers get closer — 1.9mm to 2.6mm for walls people stand near, 3.9mm for stage backdrops, and 4.8mm outdoors. For any event with cameras, streaming or IMAG, use panels running a 3,840Hz refresh rate so the wall records without banding or flicker.
- Can you install an LED wall outdoors in Louisiana weather?
- Yes. Abstract Productions uses IP-rated outdoor panels with 5,000+ nits of brightness so content stays readable in daylight, plus weather-protected processing, ballasted or ground-supported structure and a wind plan for Gulf South conditions.
- What power and cabling does an LED video wall require?
- Walls need dedicated 20A or 208V circuits sized to the panel count, with power and data run in a daisy chain from the processor. We supply distro, cable, ramps and redundant playback, and confirm the venue's available power during the site check before load-in.
- How much lead time do you need to book an LED wall?
