Projector & Screen Rental in New Orleans

Most slide decks fail in the room, not on the laptop. We size projector brightness and screen height to the room's ambient light and the distance to the back row, then dress the screen so it looks intentional instead of borrowed.

Every projector and screen rental in New Orleans ships with the switching, scaling and cable run needed to get from a presenter's laptop to the screen without a scramble at the podium.

Projection or an LED wall?

Projection is the cost-effective answer for dim ballrooms, breakout rooms and any room where you need a big image on a budget. It needs controllable light: wash the screen with house lights or daylight and contrast collapses.

An LED video wall holds up under full room light, on camera and outdoors, and it needs no throw distance behind or in front of the image. If your room cannot go dark, or the screen sits in a lobby or outdoors, price the wall instead.

Delivery, setup and strike

Gear rolls from our Hammond warehouse on a truck timed to your dock window, is installed and tested before doors, and is struck by the same crew at the end of the night or the next morning, whichever your venue allows. Venue dock fees, union labor and overnight parking are quoted separately when a room requires them.

Projector and screen rental questions

What size screen do I need for my room?
Use the back-row rule: the screen height should be at least one eighth of the distance to the furthest viewer. For a New Orleans hotel ballroom with a 60-foot back row that means roughly a 7.5-foot-tall image, which is a 9' x 16' fast-fold. Abstract Productions sizes the screen and the projector together against your floor plan.
How many lumens does an event projector need?
For a dimmed ballroom, 5,000 to 7,000 lumens covers most breakout screens. Ballroom general sessions with stage lighting typically need 10,000 lumens or more, and any image competing with daylight needs 20,000 lumens or an LED wall instead.
Can you rear-project so presenters do not walk through the beam?
Yes, when the room has depth behind the screen. Rear projection keeps the stage clear and eliminates shadowing, and we bring the rear-capable surface and the throw calculations to confirm it fits before load-in.
Do you provide a technician to run slides?
We can. Delivery, setup and testing are always included; adding a video technician to switch between presenters, cue video and handle laptop hand-offs is a separate line item and is worth it for any multi-presenter program.
