Accessibility statement
Abstract Productions is committed to making abstractproductions.net usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology.
Our conformance target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We consider this site partially conformant: most of the site meets the standard, and the exceptions listed below are being worked through. We review pages with automated tooling (axe-core) on every change and check keyboard and screen-reader behaviour by hand on the pages people use most.
What we have built in
- Every page uses semantic headings, landmarks and a single main heading so screen readers can navigate by structure.
- All navigation, menus, galleries, lightboxes and the quote form can be operated with a keyboard alone.
- Focus is always visible: a high-contrast outline follows the keyboard through links, buttons and form fields.
- Text and interactive controls are tested against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios, including copy placed over photography.
- Animations respect your system's reduced-motion setting, and a Calm motion mode is available on this page.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative stage animations are hidden from assistive technology.
- Pages reflow to 320px wide and support browser zoom to 200% without loss of content or function.
Motion and animation
Stage beams, 3D galleries and the chat widget animate by default. If your device asks for reduced motion, we honour it automatically. You can also choose Calm here — the setting applies to every page and is remembered in this browser.
Known limitations
- Some gallery photographs from live events have brief alt text; we are steadily expanding those descriptions.
- Embedded third-party maps on venue pages follow the provider's own accessibility behaviour, which we do not control.
- PDF planning checklists are tagged for reading order, but complex tables in them may read awkwardly in some readers.
