Drapery and Scenic That Reads on Camera

Custom scenic diamond panels lit in pink behind a keynote lectern

Scenic decisions are usually made for the live audience, then quietly undermined on camera. Deep black drape crushes on video; bright white scenic blooms under a key light.

Mid-tone fabrics with texture hold detail across both. Pleated velour with a gentle wash gives depth without noise.

Layering matters more than material. Two planes of scenic separated by even a few feet, each lit independently, creates the depth that flat backdrops lack.

Keep brand color in the light rather than the fabric. Lighting color is free to change between segments; fabric is not.

Always look at the set through the camera before doors, not after.
